Female Passenger Disappointed w/ Bus Conductor After Her Change Was Not Returned

Female Passenger Frustrated After Bus Conductor Failed to Return Her Change

A female passenger felt disappointed after a bus conductor allegedly failed to return her change.

The conductor gave her a receipt but tore it first and told her to wait because he would return with the change.

As the trip continued, the bus got busy and time passed. Eulyca eventually got off the bus and took a tricycle going into their subdivision. It was only then that she realized she had never received her change.

While some people might easily forget such an amount, for her, P400 was still a big loss.

When she finally located him, she calmly explained her concern and showed the receipt. However, the conductor insisted that she had already been given the change and pointed out that the receipt was torn. He also expressed worry that he might be short on his collection.

After a heated exchange, the conductor eventually returned the change, though it was still short by a small amount. Eulyca chose not to argue further.

Here is the full post:

Nagbayad ako sa kundoktor ng ₱500. So as expected, binigay niya sakin yung resibo. Pero bago niya saakin inabot, pinunit niya muna then he told me, “Wait lang Ma’am ah, babalik ako para sa sukli”. Supposedly makakatanggap pa ‘ko ng ₱400 dahil isang ₱60 and ₱40 (my daughter’s fare) lang ang pamasahe namin. Unfortunately, I was not given my change before I got off the bus.

Pagbaba ko sa bus, nag tricycle pa ‘ko papasok sa subdivision namin. After getting off the tricycle, saka ko lang naalala yung sukli kong hindi naibigay nung kunduktor. For some people, baka hindi na isipin yung ₱400 na ‘yun, but for me, malaking amount pa din yun. So the initial thought is sundan yung bus. Luckily, another Santrans bus passed by at ang sabi ng driver kaya pa daw mahabol yung naunang bus.

Without hesitation, sumakay ako all the way from Muzon to Sapang Palay terminal. Imagine that.

He kept repeating that the receipt was torn and that he might end up short. That was when I realized that this could possibly be a MODUS (pupunitin yung resibo, patatagalin hanggang sa makalimutan mo, sasabihing nasuklian na kasi punit na yung receipt) especially busy ang mga tao ngayon. Ang ending, nagkasagutan kami before niya ibigay yung sukli ko (take note, kulang pa ng P12 yung change pero hindi na para palakihin pa).

To all commuters out there, please be careful. Huwag magbabayad ng buo. Huwag bababa ng bus ng hindi kinukuha ang sukli.
