Jonvic Remulla mentioned this about the flood control issue
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla revealed that he and his brother, Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla was offered P1 billion to end the flood control scam case.
Last year, the controversial issue surrounding the flood control projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was opened up. This dragged prominent names in the political arena.
Many Filipinos became more vocal in criticizing corruptions and protests were held on the streets, aiming to be a wake-up call. Senate hearings were held, and the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) was formed to focus on investigating flood control and other infrastructure projects implemented from 2015 onwards.

In a recent statement, based on the article in Abante, Sec. Jonvic Remulla revealed that he and his brother received a monetary offer worth P1 billion just to close a case regarding a flood control project.
May lumapit sa akin through an intermediary, nag-offer sa aming magkapatid ng P1 billion para matapos ang kaso nila,
” the younger Remulla said, adding that they immediately turned down the offer.
The appointed government official added,
“Sabi namin, ‘no deal.’ Nabigla ako roon. Sabi ko na lang, huwag na.”
However, the Secretary did not reveal whom he was referring to.

Remulla also said that assets that were frozen, reportedly connected to the flood control scandal has reached an amount of over. P20 billion, and it is possible that it will reach up to P100 billion.
