Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco Speaks on Possible New Impeachment Complaint To Be Filed in House vs. VP Sara Duterte

– The Navotas City Representative admitted that he will not support a possible fresh impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte.
Ahead of the lifting of the ban on the filing of impeachment case against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, there are already members of the House of Representatives who confirmed the possibility of filing a fresh impeachment rap against the Vice President. To recall, the Senate archived the impeachment complaint against Duterte in 2025 after the Supreme Court ruled it as “unconstitutional”.
According to the Supreme Court, the impeachment court violated the one year ban rule in the Constitution. Nineteen senators voted in favor of the motion to archive the impeachment complaint against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.

of Representatives. There are also talks that an impeachment may be filed against the President over the unprogrammed funds in the 2026 national budget.
On the possible filing of a fresh impeachment complaint against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, Malacañang previously claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos will not interfere. But, the Palace clarified that the Chief Executive wants those who have committed wrongs to the government to be held accountable.
Amid the impeachment talks, Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco clarified that he will not support a possible fresh impeachment complaint against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. Based on a

on PhilStar, he stressed that former House Budget Appropriations Committee chairman Zaldy Co has yet to be held accountable.
Co is considered as one of the alleged big role players in the supposed multi-billion flood control corruption in the country. According to Tiangco, the Congress will allegedly be a hyprocrite to focus on running after Vice Pres. Duterte without having to hold its member accountable.
Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco is the husband of a cousin of both Pres. Bongbong Marcos and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez. He has been vocal about his criticisms against the government over several issue.
