Impeachment Complaint Filed vs. Marcos Jr., Looming Another One?
The Makabayan bloc confirmed that they are set to file another impeachment complaint against President Bongbong Marcos.
The current political turmoil in the Philippine government is undeniably causing a division among many people. There are Filipinos who are supporters of the Marcos Jr. administration while there are those who are critics. There are also those who called for the resignation of Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
Marcos Jr. was tagged in the flood control mess. Former House of Representatives Budget Appropriations Committee chairman
Zaldy Co claimed that Marcos Jr. allegedly ordered a P100-billion budget insertion
in the country’s 2025 funds.
Furthermore, the former House Budget Appropriations Committee Chairman who’s allegedly a big role player in the flood control mess claimed that Marcos Jr. and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez supposedly received a P56-billion kickback.

Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos was also questioned over the presence of the unprogrammed funds in the 2026 national budget. The Chief Executive signed the P6.79-trillion budget for the country this year last January 5.
Amid the questions, impeachment talks against the President crossed the surface.
Malacañang previously claimed that Marcos Jr. is ready to face any impeachment case that may be filed
against him. Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro stressed that the President allegedly did not steal public money.
