Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Speaks on Possible Fresh Impeachment Complaint against her
SARA DUTERTE
– The Vice President claimed she won’t be surprised anymore if a new impeachment complaint will be filed against her.
There are rumors that the
House of Representatives is eyeing two (2) impeachment complaints in one month
— one against Pres. Bongbong Marcos and the other is against Vice Pres. Duterte. The ban on the filing of impeachment complaint against Duterte is set to expire this February.
The Senate previously archived the impeachment complaint against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte after the Supreme Court ruled it as “unconstitutional”. According to the high court, the impeachment rap violates the one year ban rule with regards to impeachments. Nineteen senators voted to archive the complaint against the Vice President.

Ahead of the lifting of the ban on the filing of a fresh impeachment complaint against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, some groups already confirmed the possibility of filing a fresh impeachment rap against the Vice President. As for her, it is something that will no longer surprise her.
During an interview with Vice Pres. Sara Duterte in The Hague, Netherlands, the Vice President admitted that she expects that a fresh impeachment complaint will be filed against her. According to her, there were already people who confirmed that they will be filing an impeachment complaint against her.
“As expected dahil sila din naman ang nagsasabi lagi na mag-file sila ng impeachment complaint so alam na natin ‘yun na mangyayari ‘yun,”
Duterte said.
“As expected as well magiging katulad lang din ‘yan nung nakaraan na ginagawang fundraising ng mga members of the House of Representatives ‘yung pagpirma nila sa impeachment. It’s all about the money,”
