Former Sen. Bong Revilla Mum to Reporters
BONG REVILLA
– The former Senator arrived in Sandiganbayan for the hearing of his motion to be transferred to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center.
Upon knowing about the issuance of the arrest warrant against him by the Sandiganbayan Third Division, former Sen. Revilla voluntarily surrendered to the authorities. He reached out to Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla.

Revilla is accused of involvement in a multi-million “ghost” flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan. The former Senator maintained his innocence. According to him, he is not afraid to face the matter as he allegedly did not do anything wrong and he believes God will not forsake him.
The Sandiganbayan Third Division ruled that former Sen.
Bong Revilla will be detained at the New Quezon City Jail in Payatas
. Aside from him, six (6) officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) were also arrested.

Aside from his wife, Cavite Congresswoman Lani Mercado, former Sen. Bong Revilla was also accompanied by
DILG Sec. Jonvic Remulla at the Sandiganbayan and Remulla tagged it as the “last act of friendship”
. Amid the accusations that Revilla is allegedly receiving a special treatment, he stressed that he only accompanied the former Senator and immediately left before the commitment order.
DILG chief Jonvic Remulla also stressed that he did not hide his friendship with former Sen. Bong Revilla. He assured that will be no special treatment for the former Senator. Amid the order of the Sandiganbayan for his detention to be at the New Quezon City Jail in Payatas, the former Senator’s camp appealed for his transfer to the PNP Custodial Center.
