Vlogger & Colleagues Loses Nearly P6-M in Cash & Jewelry During Robbery in Pasay
A vlogger and three companions got robbed by armed suspects in Pasay City, resulting in the loss of nearly six million pesos in cash and jewelry.
On Wednesday evening (January 21, 2026), the group was riding an SUV Barangay 190, Zone 20 when the armed suspects apprehended them.
According to authorities, around ten armed men surrounded the vehicle and forced their way in. The suspects quickly took control of the situation and seized the SUV, which reportedly contained large amounts of cash and valuable jewelry.
The driver and the front-seat passenger managed to escape early, while the two other victims were taken by the suspects.
A hot pursuit operation led to the arrest of one suspect at a resort in Pansol, Calamba City, Laguna. During the arrest, police recovered about P81,000 in cash and several pieces of jewelry believed to belong to the victims.
Police also revealed that some of the suspects were known to the victims and that the same group may be behind at least five similar crimes targeting people involved in the jewelry trade.
Meanwhile, two Pasay police officers assigned near the area were relieved from their posts for not responding immediately to the incident. Intelligence chief Glenn Mark De Villa explained that they were in the area to serve a warrant and had taken a discreet position.
