Inside a Philippine Jail, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy Alleges Widespread Corruption
VITALY ZDOROVETSKIY – Controversial Russian vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy is once again making waves online after revealing disturbing details about his time in a Philippine detention facility.
Vitaly Zdorovetskiy has spoken out about what he described as corruption and inhumane conditions inside a Philippine detention facility, sharing detailed allegations during a livestream interview with streamer Adin Ross on YouTube and Adin Live on Friday, January 23.

Vitaly Zdorovetskiy further alleged that access to necessities such as water and hygiene products was inconsistent and often depended on the discretion of jail guards. He claimed that detainees were sometimes refused water unless they appeared to be in serious medical distress. At one point, he said he pretended to faint just to receive assistance.
The controversial vlogger also raised allegations of corruption inside the detention facility. He claimed inmates could obtain prohibited items, including mobile phones, by paying guards.
“I had a phone the whole time in jail. I vlogged the whole experience, and I’m going to expose the corruption,”
Zdorovetskiy said during the livestream. He added that he recorded footage throughout his detention, which he claimed would later shed light on systemic problems within the jail.
“It’s just corruption, but you pay the guard. You’re good to go,”
he said, adding that financial resources often influenced how detainees were treated. He further claimed that some foreign nationals remained in detention for years over minor immigration violations due to their inability to afford legal counsel.

Discussing the charges against him, Zdorovetskiy said he faced multiple counts of disturbing the peace and one count of theft after taking an industrial fan from a restaurant and moving it a short distance. He added that a cybercrime-related charge linked to previously recorded footage later extended his detention.
Despite his experience, Zdorovetskiy described his time in jail as life-changing. He said he spent much of his detention reading and reflecting, which helped him become more disciplined.

Zdorovetskiy was deported to Russia on January 17, 2026. He was arrested on April 3, 2025, in Pasay City after being declared an undesirable foreign national over allegations of harassing Filipinos during a livestream. Philippine authorities have yet to respond publicly to his latest claims regarding jail conditions and corruption.
