Mixed Oil Price Adjustments to Take Effect on Tuesday (January 27, 2026)

Mixed Oil Price Adjustments Expected to Affect Motorists Next Week

FUEL PRICE ADJUSTMENTS – The Department of Energy is expected mixed oil price adjustments starting Tuesday (January 27, 2026).

Drivers may notice changes in fuel prices again next week as different petroleum products are expected to move in opposite directions. Early estimates suggest that while some fuel types may offer slight relief, others could become more expensive, adding pressure on household and transport budgets.

Gasoline – Possible decrease of around P0.05 per liter

Diesel – Possible increase of about P0.80 per liter

Kerosene – Possible increase of roughly P0.45 per liter

These figures are still estimates and do not yet include additional charges from oil companies, such as operating costs and other premiums. Once these are added, the final pump prices could be higher than expected.

Oil companies usually announce official adjustments every Monday, with new prices taking effect the next day.

Global developments continue to play a major role in these changes. Fuel supply remains under pressure due to production disruptions in key oil-producing regions and export limitations in important shipping routes. These issues reduce available supply, particularly for diesel and other fuel products.

At the same time, demand for oil is rising. China’s growing economy has led to higher fuel consumption, while colder weather in parts of the United States and Europe has increased the need for heating and transport fuel. These factors are pushing prices upward despite slight movements in gasoline.
