Ambulance Accidentally Hits Woman Who Suddenly Crossed the Road
A woman was injured after being struck by an ambulance along Batasan–San Mateo Road in Quezon City
On Monday morning, January 26, 2025, a woman sustained injuries after being hit by an ambulance while trying to cross the road. The incident happened during heavy traffic, causing concern among motorists and nearby residents.
Based on initial reports, the ambulance was carrying a patient who needed to be brought to a hospital. Due to the heavy traffic, the ambulance driver decided to counterflow in an effort to move faster and respond to the emergency.
The ambulance accidentally hit a woman who was on the road at that time. The impact of the collision was strong, causing the woman to roll several times before falling onto the pavement.
Witnesses in the area were shocked and immediately tried to help. The ambulance driver quickly stopped after realizing someone had been hit. Instead of leaving the area, the driver and the ambulance crew immediately assisted the injured woman.
The ambulance crew made sure she was attended right away and decided to bring her to the hospital using the same ambulance involved in the accident.
The woman suffered several injuries due to the incident but remained conscious when she was taken to the hospital. Medical personnel promptly treated her wounds to ensure her condition was stable.
Reports also said that the ambulance driver took responsibility for what happened and agreed to shoulder the woman’s medical expenses.
