Malacañang Releases Video of Interview w/ Pres. Bongbong Marcos amid Public Curiosity over his Condition

Countless Filipinos were left worried and curious over the health condition of Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. after he spent a night under medical observation. The President revealed that he was diagnosed with diverticulitis which is an inflammation in the lining of the large intestine.

According to Malacañang, the doctors of Marcos Jr. advised him to rest and to be monitored so he was brought to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City. Meanwhile, the President was immediately discharged from the hospital and is now back in Malacañang.
Amid the public questioning the absence of the President in some events, Malacañang said the

Marcos Jr. assured that he is okay now and he was only given medications by his doctors. He also stressed that he continues to take antibiotics but he is really okay now. He even lauded the expertise of his doctors.
“Okay na. Ang galing ng mga doktor ko. Binigyan lang ako ng mga gamot at saka patuloy pa rin yung aking antibiotics pero okay na ako,”
the President said.
According to Atty. Claire Castro, the public is seemingly unsatisfied without seeing the President move so she decided to take a video of him. The President also explained why he was unable to attend the early morning event in Malacañang on January 28.
“Hindi ako nakarating dahil mayroon pa akong gagawin. Pinapunta ako, nag-konsulta na nandito yung mga doktor,”
Marcos Jr. said.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos claimed that his doctors really advise him to rest but he refuses to heed the advice citing the many works that have to be done. Meanwhile, he expressed his gratitude to all the people who are concern about him.
“Nag-konsulta sila para tingnan na talagang maayos kasi nangre-reklamo sila na dapat magpahinga ako. Sabi ko, ‘Hindi ako pwedeng magpahinga hindi ako kasama diyan sa mga pahinga,’”

, Pres. Bongbong Marcos is on a soft diet for a few days to ensure that his large intestines are relieved from stress. Meanwhile, he claimed that he dreamt of eating steak then amid the “soft diet” advice but he was not allowed then. Now, the President is already allowed to eat solid foods and has even eaten a hamburger.

Palace spoke on the impeachment complaints filed against Marcos Jr.
Two (2) impeachment raps against the President were already transmitted to the House Committee on Justice.
