Ronald Llamas, Political Analyst, Says Filipinos Should Thank Sen. Robin Padilla
Political analyst Ronald Llamas speaks on Senator Robin Padilla after his wife, Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla, claimed that the people allegedly don’t deserve him.
Padilla campaigned under the BBM-Sara tandem during the 2022 Elections. Currently, amid the rift between President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, he’s vocal that his loyalty is with former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. He is even one of the senators who belong to the so-called Duterte bloc in the Senate.
Recently, Sen. Robin Padilla was criticized over his remarks amid the issues between some government officials and the officials of the Chinese Embassy. Fifteen senators supported the Senate resolution that condemned the remarks of the Embassy of China against the Philippine government officials who defend the rights of the country in the disputed territories.
Sen. Robin Padilla is one of the few senators who did not sign the Senate Resolution No. 256. All six senators who did not approve the reso are part of the minority group:

Padilla claimed that respect must come from both parties and he understands the Chinese officials citing the caricature of Chinese President Xi Jin Ping. According to him, he will also get mad if it will be done to Pres. Bongbong Marcos.

Robin Padilla also questioned the Philippine Coast Guard for allegedly not purchasing stronger water cannons and fighting back at China
. To this, the PCG said they recognize the use of the water cannons which is to help save lives and not inflict harm to other people and damage other vessels.

the political analyst added.
According to Llamas, he is confident that if Padilla runs for senator again, he will no longer win the top spot. The political analyst also claimed that the Senator might have realized that his victory in the upcoming election is not sure.
