Sen. Robin Padilla Calls Political Analyst Ronald Llamas “Pangit”
Political analyst Ronald Llamas spoke on the gratitude of minority Senator Robin Padilla to former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Sen. Robinhood Padilla or more popularly known as actor-turned-lawmaker Robin Padilla recently earned countless criticisms over his stand on the recent issue involving the Chinese Embassy and some Philippine government officials. It stemmed from the supposed caricature of Chinese leader Xi Jin Ping that was reportedly used during a program in the country.
Sen. Robin Padilla claimed that respect must be mutual. According to him, even if he is a member of the opposition, he will also get mad if the Chinese will do the same to Pres. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
During a Senate privilege speech, Sen.
Robin Padilla also asked the Philippine Coast Guard why it did not purchase stronger water cannons and fired back at China
. The statement of the Senator came after several reports of the PCG being allegedly harassed by the Chinese authorities in the disputed areas. His question earned not just a response from the PCG but massive criticisms from many Filipinos.

Philippine Coast Guard commander Jay Tarriela stressed that they recognize the use of the water cannon which is to save lives and not inflict harm to other people or damage other vessels. Amid the criticisms against the Senator, several opinions crossed the surface.
Political analyst Ronald Llamas previously spoke on Sen. Robin Padilla
after his wife, Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla, announced that her husband will not run in the 2028 Elections. She also claimed that the people allegedly don’t deserve her husband. According to Llamas, the Senator should be thanked for as after his election win in 2022, actors and actresses who run for government posts lose.
The political analyst also expressed his belief that Sen. Robin Padilla will allegedly not be able to claim the same spot in case he runs in the 2028 Elections. In 2022, under the BBM-Sara tandem, Padilla won the first seat in the senatorial election results.

. Recently, the political analyst fired back at the Senator’s response.
“Todo kasi lagi ‘yung kanyang depensa kay [ex-president Rodrigo Duterte] na nagbigay sa kanya ng absolute pardon. Na-convict siya para sa isang krimen at nakulong siya dapat for 21 years—pinardon siya ni Digong,”
the political analyst said.
