Senior Citizens Party-list Rep. Rodolfo Ordanes has outlined the possible grounds for disciplinary action against Leyte 4th District Rep. Richard Gomez.

Based on the article in Bandera, Cong. Ordanes reminded the public, during his privilege speech, that any behavior by a lawmaker that has a negative impact on the House can be grounds for disciplinary action.
He requested that Gomez be given a 60-day suspension for his attack on Rene Gacuma, who, besides being a senior citizen, has undergone several heart surgeries.
For Ordanes, it was not an excuse that Gomez stated he was not a legislator when he went to the SEA Games. “

Ordanes further stated that the disciplinary process in the House is separate from any legal process outside of Congress. As of this writing, Congressman Richard Gomez has not released a statement yet regarding this.
