Onlooker Ariane said there were no occupants inside the structure at the time.
“It’s terrifying. The sea waves were huge, and a house was destroyed,” she said.
More than 2,000 families were evacuated across Visayas and Mindanao. Classes have been suspended in affected areas since Wednesday, February 4.
The Philippine Coast Guard also halted sea travel, leaving at least 130 passengers stranded in Southern Leyte.
Locally known as Basyang, the tropical storm, which has downgraded into tropical depression on Friday, February 6, has made a landfall over Bohol.
Its center was last located based on all available data in the vicinity of Bilar, Bohol (9.6°North, 124.1°East).
