Impeachment Raps vs. Marcos Jr. Junked; House Now Tackles Impeach Complaint vs. Sara Duterte

– The President was asked about the House of Representatives transmitting the impeachment raps against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte to the Office of the House Speaker.

Recently, the House Secretary General confirmed that the

impeachment complaints against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte have been transmitted to the office of House Speaker Bojie Dy

Duterte is accused of alleged betrayal of public trust and gross abuse of discretionary powers in the first impeachment complaint filed against her. The accusation is over the alleged misuse of the P625 million confidential funds of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and the Department of Education (DepEd).

The first impeachment rap filed against the Vice President this year was filed by the

also filed an impeachment rap against the Vice President.

In the second impeachment complaint filed by the

against her, the Vice President is accused of alleged culpable violations of the Constitution, graft and corruption, bribery, betrayal of public trust, and other high crimes. Prior to the filing of the raps, the Vice President claimed that she already expects it.

According to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, her legal team is prepared over the possible filing of fresh impeachment complaints against her. She believes that some people will allegedly keep on doing it until her term ends. The filing of the impeachment raps against her came after two (2) impeachment complaints were also filed against Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Respondent ordered and enabled the kidnapping and surrender of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Respondent is unfit to serve as President due to drug addiction.

Respondent committed betrayal of public trust when he failed to veto unprogrammed appropriations (UA) and other unconstitutional provisions in the General Appropriations Bill (GAB).

Respondent engaged in graft and corruption through kickbacks and ghost projects.

Respondent created the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) to shield corrupt allies.

Respondent violated the Constitution and betrayed public trust by surrendering former President Duterte to the ICC.

The House Committee on Justice junked the impeachment complaints against Marcos Jr. for insufficiency of substance. Recently, the President was asked about the lower chamber transmitting the impeachment raps against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte to the office of the House Speaker.
