Graduating Student Dies in Motorcycle Accident in Isabela
A graduating student who was just buying ‘pulutan’ loses his life in a motorcycle accident in Angadanan, Isabela.
On Saturday evening, February 7, 2026, a young man died in a motorcycle accident. The accident happened along a road in Barangay Bantug. Residents found two young men lying on the road after hearing a loud crash.
The motorcycle driver, a 23-year-old graduating student, was declared dead at the scene, while his 22-year-old passenger was rushed to the hospital with a broken leg.
Police investigation showed that the motorcycle lost control while passing through a curved portion of the road shortly after 7:00 in the evening. The vehicle slammed into a lamp post, causing the driver’s head to hit the post with strong force.
Friends described them as hardworking students who were looking forward to graduating and starting the next chapter of their lives.
Meanwhile, another deadly road accident was reported in Isabela just a day earlier. In Barangay Caquilian, Cordon, a motorcycle and a forward aluminum van collided along the national highway on Friday, February 6, 2026.
Police said both vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when they attempted to overtake at the same time.
The truck driver tried to avoid the motorcycle, but the motorcycle was unable to return to its lane, leading to a strong collision. The motorcycle riders were brought to the hospital but were declared dead on arrival.
The truck driver is now under police custody as the investigation continues.
