Former Sen. Bong Revilla Detains over Alleged ‘Ghost’ Flood Control Project in Bulacan

– The former Senator slammed his accusers in the flood control mess amid his detention due to an alleged “ghost” flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan.
Former Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. is currently detained at the New Quezon City Jail in Payatas. The actor-turned-Senator voluntarily surrendered himself to the authorities after the Sandiganbayan released an arrest warrant against him.
The Sandiganbayan ordered the arrest of former Sen. Bong Revilla and several officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) over an alleged “ghost” flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan amounting to P92.8 million. Here are the other subjects of the arrest warrants released by the anti-graft court:

Former Sen. Bong Revilla maintained his innocence from the allegations of flood control corruption against him. According to the Senator then, he cannot explain how he really felt but he is relieved over his belief that the truth is on his side.
The family and supporters of former Sen. Bong Revilla recently held a prayer rally for the former Senator. At the said event held in Cavite, his wife, Cavite 2nd District Congresswomen Lani Mercado, gave a speech.

At the Department of Justice, Former Sen. Bong Revilla couldn’t help but slam his accusers in the flood control mess. He previously requested to be transferred to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Facility after the Sandiganbayan junked his motion to be transferred to Camp Crame.

Previously, former Sen. Bong Revilla refused to submit a plea on the flood control case against him. The Sandiganbayan entered a ‘not guilty’ plea for the former Senator.
