ICC-Released Document Containing Charges vs. Duterte Mentions Bong Go, Several Others

– The Senator is one of those mentioned by the International Criminal Court (ICC) as alleged co-perpetrators of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Former Pres. Duterte remains detained under the custody of the ICC since March 2025. He is accused of alleged crimes against humanity. The former President is currently detained inside the ICC detention facility in The Hague, Netherlands.
Duterte siblings previously had a chance to visit former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte altogether
as per the request of the former Chief Executive. They are usually taking turns in visiting the former President inside the detention facility.
The International Criminal Court previously denied the interim release appeal of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. According to his family, they accept the ruling of the foreign court “with open hearts”.
Several senator allies of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte called for his house arrest. One of them is Sen.
Bong Go who said that he treats Duterte more than a father
. According to the Senator, he spent time with the former President more in the last 25 years compared to his real father.

Sen. Bong Go was the special assistant of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte before he joined the senatorial race in 2019. During the recent 2025 Midterm Elections, the Senator led the results of the senatorial race.
Recently, the International Criminal Court released the Document Containing the Charges or DDC. The document released by the ICC listed the alleged co-perpetrators of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
