FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Several fuel companies announced another oil price hike in the third week of February.
Filipino motorists across the country will once again face higher fuel costs as petroleum companies implement another round of price increases this week. Starting Tuesday, February 17, 2026, drivers will need to prepare for added expenses at the pump.
Gasoline: P1.20 increase per liter
Diesel: P0.60 increase per liter
Kerosene: P0.60 increase per liter
It marks the sixth straight week of increases for gasoline. Diesel and kerosene, on the other hand, are now on their eighth consecutive week of price hikes. Just last week, gasoline and kerosene went up by P0.60 per liter, while diesel increased by P1.00 per liter.
According to energy officials, global developments continue to push oil prices upward. Rising tensions in the Middle East, especially involving Iran, have created fears of possible supply disruptions.
The Strait of Hormuz, a key route for oil shipments from the Persian Gulf, remains a major concern. Ongoing uncertainty surrounding Iran’s nuclear talks has also added pressure to global oil markets.
