Reyes Announces Resignation of ICI Member Rogelio Singson
ICI member Rogelio Singson has resigned according to the chairman of the Independent Commission for Infrastructure, former Justice Andres Reyes Jr.
The flood control mess in the Philippines brought thousands of Filipinos to the streets to protest against the supposed massive corruption in the country. Several showbiz celebrities even joined the so-called “Trillion Peso March” held last September 21 and November 30.

The Filipinos called for accountability. Amid the supposed multi-billion flood control corruption in the country, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered the creation of an independent commission that will investigate the matter.
The order of Marcos Jr. led to the creation of the Independent Commission for Infrastructure or ICI, an
independent body for infrastructure probe which has the power to move for the seizure of assets
and the issuance of subpoena.
The Independent Commission for Infrastructure is led by former Justice Andres Reyes Jr. The commission has Rogelio L. Singson, a former Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), as an ICC member, and Rossana A. Fajardo, Country Managing Partner of SGV & Co, as the other member.
The flood control investigation of the ICI is ongoing. It has already submitted a report to the Office of the Ombudsman recommending the filing of charges against some of the individuals who are accused in the flood control mess in the country.

, Malacañang has yet to issue a statement on the resignation of ICI member Rogelio Singson. The resigned member of the commission has yet to speak over his decision as well.
