PAGASA Releases Update on Tropical Depression Wilma
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that a low-pressure area east of Eastern Visayas has developed into Tropical Depression Wilma.
On Thursday (December 4, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest update about Tropical Depression Wilma.
PAGASA reported that Wilma was last spotted east of Eastern Visayas at 8 a.m. it is expected to make landfall in the eastern portion of the country, either in Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, or Caraga.
“At 8:00 a.m. today (04 December), the low pressure area located east of Eastern Visayas developed into Tropical Depression Wilma,”
PAGASA said.
In the next few days, the weather disturbance will move westward over the Visayas islands. However, it may change due to the storm’s distance from the Philippine landmass.
“Tropical Cyclone Bulletins will be issued beginning at 11:00 a.m. today. All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA,”
the agency added.
Meanwhile, the shear line will bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Samar.
The northeast monsoon will bring similar weather conditions over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon.
Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over the rest of the country.
The coastal water conditioning over Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to
