Sarah Discaya: Pasig City Orders Closure Of Their Firms Due To PHP 1.1 Billion Unpaid Taxes

The firms owned by Sarah Discaya and her husband were ordered to be closed.

Due to over a billion unsettled taxes, the Pasig City government ordered the shutdown of the firms owned by the couple Curlee and Sarah Discaya.

The Pasig City government has issued closure orders against the nine companies owned by controversial private contractor couple

The violations committed included “over P1.1 billion in unpaid taxes… operating without an occupancy permit… [and a] revoked PCAB (Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board) license.”

To recall, the Discaya firms are at the center of the

controversial flood control issue

after several government officials alleged that these companies were being used to siphon public funds through ghost or substandard projects.
