The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) website is now accepting GCash for faster fine payments.
MMDA has made paying traffic and littering fines more convenient by allowing GCash payments on its “May Huli Ka” website. The update gives motorists an easier and quicker way to settle their violations without needing to visit an office or fall in line.
Using this program, the agency can easily monitor and keep track of any recorded violations in their fleet.
A new E-Contest feature has also been added, giving users a more organized way to contest a violation ticket. This lets motorists raise concerns and ask for a review without going through lengthy or complicated procedures.
The MMDA partnered with G-Xchange Inc., the company behind GCash to make payments smoother. Motorists can now pay their fines using the mobile wallet with a lower convenience fee of P7, reduced from the previous P12.
The adjustment aims to make the process lighter and more accessible for everyone.
The MMDA reminds the public that the “May Huli Ka” website is specifically for NCAP violations. Other types of apprehensions still need to be processed through the Land Transportation Office, MMDA head office, or the respective local government units.
