– The former Senator asked for prayers for him and his family after the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) recommended the filing of flood control charges against him.
The Independent Commission for Infrastructure or ICI led the flood control investigation in the Philippines. The investigative body with former Justice Andres Reyes Jr. as its chairman was formed upon the order of Pres. Bongbong Marcos.

The ICI has already conducted several closed-door hearings that invited some government officials tagged in the flood control mess. One of them is former House Speaker Martin Romualdez who vowed to help in any way he can to speed up the resolution of the case.

of the lower chamber amid the flood control allegations against him. According to him, he wants the ICI to be able to fully and freely implement its mandate to investigate. The three-member body has recommended the filing of charges against some individuals including senators and former senators.
