reacted after receiving a demand letter from an organization claiming to be a social media watchdog that called her out over her sexual content.

Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas (KSMBPI),

which was addressed to her as “Salome Salve” and “Mr. Salve.”

The letter demands that she “immediately cease and desist from posting, publishing, and disseminating obscene, sexually explicit, and sexually exploitative content on social media platforms.”

“KSMBPI has received numerous complaints and has independently monitored online materials publicly accessible through their platforms, which allegedly contain lewd, indecent, and sexually suggestive content, including discussions and portrayals that normalize sexual vulgarity and exploit women and young girls as objects of sexual discourse,” the letter reads.

“These materials are freely accessible to the public, including minors, raising serious concerns regarding public morals, child protection, and compliance with Philippine laws,” it added.

“KSMBPI emphasizes that freedom of expression is not absolute and does not extend to content that is obscene, exploitative, or harmful, particularly when such content endangers minors or undermines public decency and moral standards,” the letter continued.

The org also stated that Salome must “immediately remove the subject contents, refrain from producing similar materials, and ensure that future online activities comply with existing laws on obscenity, child protection, and responsible digital conduct.”
