Armed Robbers Caught Stealing Parcels and Cash from Sorting Center in La Union
Several armed robbers were caught on CCTV stealing parcels and cash from a sorting center in Rosario, La Union.
The robbery incident happened on the night of December 12 in Barangay Concepcion and was captured on CCTV, later drawing public attention online.
Based on the video, employees were busy doing their work when a man suddenly entered the sorting center. He approached one of the staff members, took his cellphone, and forced him to sit down.
After a few moments, three more armed men came in and took control of the situation. The staff were clearly shocked and confused as the suspects showed their weapons and ordered everyone to cooperate.
The armed men forced the employees into a room to keep them from calling for help. While the staff were restrained, the suspects quickly grabbed several sacks of parcels that were ready for delivery.
They also took personal belongings of the workers and more than P100,000 in cash kept inside the facility.
After the robbers fled, the incident was immediately reported to the police. Authorities began reviewing the CCTV footage and were able to identify one of the suspects. Police later confirmed that the identified individual had previous robbery cases and was previously released on bail. Efforts are ongoing to locate the remaining three suspects.
