Anne Jakrajutatip To Face Jail Time for 2 Years

Former Miss Universe CEO Anne Jakrajutatip faces jail time.

South Bangkok Municipal Court releases verdict on case of former Miss Universe CEO Anne Jakrajutatip, but where is she?

A Thai court on Friday handed down a two-year prison sentence, without suspension, to former Miss Universe Organization co-owner

Anne Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip

after finding her guilty of fraud involving 30 million baht (around $930,000).

The first defendant was fined, while Jakrajutatip will be facing jail time for two years.

Based on the court documents, Dr. Raweewat Maschamadol filed the case and accused the defendants of fraud by concealing facts and false representation. The plaintiff was accordingly urged to make an investment in corporate bonds, despite the dire financial situation of the company, which made repayment impossible.

The Thai court ruled that 30 million baht was obtained by the defendants from the plaintiff through deception.

Last November, an arrest warrant was issued against Jakrajutatip after she failed to appear for the scheduled ruling, an absence the court deemed indicative of an attempt to evade justice. The Thai court subsequently ordered her arrest.

To recall, in June 2025, Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a criminal complaint accusing JKN and its executives of falsifying the company’s 2023 annual financial statements and its first-quarter 2024 reports.

SEC discovered that the company devised a scheme, fabricating creditors and debtors to inflate income and liabilities. All this while the company is pursuing bankruptcy rehabilitation.
