Young Man Hurt After Being Pushed Into Creek by Neighbor
A young man was injured after he was allegedly pushed into a creek by an engineer in Barangay Tabayon, Banga, Aklan.
On Monday morning, December 29, 2025, a misunderstanding in a quiet barangay in Banga, Aklan turned into a tragic incident after a young man was injured when he was pushed into a creek by a neighbor.
According to information from people who were with the victim, the group of young men were waiting near a bridge at the time. A man believed to be an engineer approached them and, without much warning, pushed the young man who was seen as the leader of the group.
The sudden action caused the victim to lose his balance and fall into a creek beside the bridge. As he fell, the young man also dropped a chicken he was holding. The victim slid down the bank, which was estimated to be about ten feet deep.
He suffered injuries from the fall and was later given medical attention. Fortunately, his wounds were not life-threatening.
Reports revealed that the neighbor became angry due to the constant noise made by the group of young men in the area. They were often setting off firecrackers, which disturbed nearby residents.
The engineer lost his temper and pushed the young man who was believed to be encouraging the others to continue the firecracker activity. The simple noise complaint ended in physical harm, causing concern among residents about safety and self-control.
The matter was later brought to the barangay for settlement. After discussions, both sides reached an agreement. The
