Several government officials issued their messages to the Filipino people as we welcome the start of another year. Pres. Bongbong Marcos also did not let the occasion pass by without a message and greeting for the Filipinos.
Through a post on social media, Marcos Jr. penned a short message for the Filipino people wherein he stated that the entry of a new year is a time to reflect on what we’ve been through. He called on the Filipinos to move forward with a clear direction and hope.
Furthermore, in his New Year greetings, Pres. Bongbong Marcos also expressed his belief that the Filipinos can go a long way ‘if we stay united’. According to him, we will continue to work for a better and humane country.
“Sa pagpasok ng 2026, panahon itong magnilay sa mga pinagdaanan natin at magpatuloy nang may malinaw na direksiyon at pag-asa. Marami pa tayong kayang marating kung mananatili tayong nagkakaisa. Ipagpapatuloy natin ang pagtatrabaho para sa isang mas maayos at makataong Bagong Pilipinas,”
the President wrote.
Based on a report on PhilStar, through a separate New Year message for the Filipinos, Pres. Bongbong Marcos described the New Year celebration as a “moment for reflection and renewal”. According to him, the celebration gives us the opportunity to look back on the previous year.
“It gives us the opportunity to look back on the year that has passed — its lessons. challenges, and achievements — and to look ahead with hope and purpose to the possibilities that await us,”
Marcos Jr. said.
Furthermore, according to the President, beyond the personal resolutions, “the new year calls on us to examine how we live with one another, how we lift one another, and how our choices shape our nation”. Based on the
report
“A society thrives when its people choose empathy over indifference, service over self-interest, and hope over despair. It is thus our commitment in the government to be relentless in pursuing a Bagong Pilipinas that nurtures unity, fosters compassion, and showcases the greatness of our kababayans,”
the President said.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos expressed his hope that we will move forward with a clearer understanding of our roles in one another’s life. Currently, the flood control issue’s investigation is ongoing.
Malacañang previously claimed that more people linked to the flood control scam will be “thrown behind bars in the New Year”
