– The Davao City First District Congressman urged the Filipinos not to surrender in his New Year message.

Sara Duterte called on the Filipinos to persevere and pray for a 2026 that is filled with hope and blessings
, her elder brother, Cong. Pulong Duterte, called on the Filipinos not to give up.

Davao Cong. Duterte also expressed his gratitude for the continued love and respect for their father, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. According to him, their family can still feel the support of their supporters until now.
“Daghang salamat sa bawat Pilipino na patuloy na naninindigan, sumusuporta, at nagtitiwala sa pamilya Duterte. Salamat sa inyong pagtitiwala, sa inyong boses, at sa inyong tapang kahit maraming ingay, paninira, at pamumulitika. Most especially, we thank you for your continued love and respect for our father, former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte
,” the Davao Congressman wrote.
According to Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte, their supporters know what former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte fought for — “discipline, concern for ordinary people, and courage in the face of trouble”.
“Hindi perpekto, pero totoo. Hindi palaging popular, pero may prinsipyo. 2025 was not an easy year. Maraming pangako ang napako, maraming tanong ang hindi sinagot, at maraming Pilipino ang patuloy na naghihirap,”
the younger Duterte stated.

, Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte called on the Filipinos not to surrender. He also claimed that there is one common pursuit — a year that is better than 2025, one that is more humane, more honest, and free from the “bangag administration”.
“Isang taon na ang sentro ay serbisyo, hindi propaganda; aksyon, hindi palusot.
Padayon lang ta. Manindigan tayo para sa katotohanan, para sa hustisya, at para sa kapakanan ng sambayanang Pilipino
