Sen. Ping Lacson previously claimed that he and now-Senate Pres. Tito Sotto will move to revive the impeachment case against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte if the Supreme Court will change its decision. Motions for reconsideration were filed before the high court.

Previously, amid the impeachment moves against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, Pres. Bongbong Marcos maintained that he has no role over the issue. Malacañang has also repeatedly stressed that the President will not involve himself in the matter.

Recently, the Makabayan bloc confirmed that they are ready to endorse a new impeachment complaint against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte once the one-year ban is lifted in February. Based on a report on Inquirer, Malacañang said Pres. Bongbong Marcos will not interfere if another impeachment rap will be filed against the Vice President.

“Whatever happens regarding impeachment, that is within the jurisdiction of Congress, and if anyone files that case, the president will not interfere,”
