WALANG PASOK – Some local government units across Albay province declared class suspensions due to volcanic activity from Mayon Volcano.

On Wednesday (January 7, 2026), classes across several cities and towns in Albay were suspended, as residents faced the combined effects of bad weather and growing volcanic activity from Mayon Volcano.

Local officials decided to halt face-to-face classes to keep students, teachers, and school staff safe during the developing situation.
