Sen. Imee Marcos Speaks on Fellow Duterte Ally Sen. Bato dela Rosa

– The presidential Sister claimed that her fellow Senator, Bato dela Rosa, allegedly continues working amid his no show at the Senate sessions.
Since Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla claimed that the International Criminal Court (ICC) has allegedly released an arrest warrant against Sen. Bato dela Rosa, the Senator who was the first Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief supposedly hid. He was no show at the Senate sessions since the chamber resumed its session last November 2025.

Last December 2025, Atty. Israelito Torreon, the
lawyer of Sen. Bato dela Rosa, also claimed that he allegedly has no communication with the lawmaker since November 7
. According to him, he was only ordered by Dela Rosa’s family to move for his defense.
Torreon then claimed that he cannot confirm if Dela Rosa has communication with his family. Prior to it, he claimed that his client will show up once the government has clarified its course of actions on the supposed ICC arrest warrant against him.
In the previous month, Department of Interior and Local Government or
DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla claimed that they allegedly know the whereabouts of Sen. Bato dela Rosa
. According to Remulla, the Senator is supposedly moving from one house to another as he stays with his friends and he uses different cars.
Recently, amid the supposed hiding of Sen. Bato dela Rosa, presidential sister and Sen. Imee Marcos spoke on his fellow lawmaker in the Senate. Both of them are members of the so-called Duterte bloc in the upper chamber. During an interview with Karen Davila for ANC, the Senator stressed that Dela Rosa allegedly continues to fulfill his duties.
“We have no clue. Noong una ay talagang nagte-text pa ‘yan pero ngayon hindi na namin maabot pero ‘yung opisina niya nakakapag-pirma pa rin siya. Nagtatrabaho pa rin,”

“Kaya ‘di rin naman natin masasabi na hindi nagtatrabaho he just does not turn up. Another mysterious issue because they keep saying the warrant is there, why don’t they bring it out? What are they waiting for if it’s there? Ilabas na ninyo, i-serve na ninyo kung talagang nariyan at ‘yung abogado niya ang sasagot,”
the Senator said.
Previously, just a few days after he claimed that he has no communication with the former PNP Chief turned Senator, the
