Senate Pres. Tito Sotto Denies Claims of Sen. Imee Marcos

TITO SOTTO

– The Senate President reacted to the accusation of Senator Imee Marcos against the chamber’s leadership over the flood control mess.

Both the Senate and the House of Representatives conducted flood control investigation amid the supposed massive corruption in the government through the flood control projects. The probe in the upper chamber was led by the Blue Ribbon Committee which is now chaired by Senate Preside Pro Tempore Ping Lacson.

The House of Representatives stopped its flood control investigation after the creation of the Independent Commission for Infrastructure. According to

House Speaker Bojie Dy, the flood control probe is best left in the hands of the ICI

. The commission was created under an executive order.

During the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee’s flood control hearing, several congressmen and senators were tagged in the supposed multi-billion flood control corruption. However, according to presidential sister and Senator Imee Marcos, the Senate leadership allegedly prevents the members of the committee from implicating influential people in the issue.
