– The Department of Education(DepEd) Chief broke his silence on the rumored extensive revamp of the Marcos Jr. administration.

wherein he called on Filipinos to continue the journey with hope and a clear direction, the Cabinet of the current administration is faced with a rumor of a supposed extensive revamp.
Marcos Jr. is mum over the rumored revamp of his administration amid the flood control issue in the government. The supposed multi-billion flood control corruption tagged several congressmen and officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). Some senators and former senators were also implicated in the issue.
The flood control issue even urged thousands of Filipinos to join the “Trillion Peso March” and call for accountability. Two (2) big rallies were held in 2025 over the supposed multi-billion flood control corruption.

“Not the President, but Executive Secretary (Ralph Recto) said there is none. Then the Presidential Management Staff secretary also told me there is none,”

, aside from DepEd Sec. Sonny Angara, Malacañang press officer undersecretary Claire Castro also claimed that there would be no changes in the Marcos Jr. Cabinet for now. Her statement was reiterated by the education Chief.
“Hopefully we are not included… and of course, we are also grateful to the statement made by Undersecretary Claire Castro, clarifying that there is no such thing,”
the DepEd Secretary said.
On the first week of the year, the country operated on a reenacted budget. It was only last January 5 when Pres. Bongbong Marcos Jr. signed the 2026 national budget. The country’s fund for this year amounts to P6.79 trillion.
