Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Reminds Students, Teachers about Education’s Value

– The Vice President visited Oriental Mindoro and gave an inspiring speech to remind the students, parents, and teachers about education.
The Office of the Vice President (OVP) is set to get an P889 million budget this year. Previously, the proposed budget was reduced by the House of Representatives after Vice Pres. Duterte ditched the session in the lower chamber but the Senate moved to restore the original amount in the proposal.

, confidential and intelligence funds are not included. Duterte’s office opted not to ask for confidential funds amid the accusations against the Vice President.
Vice Pres. Duterte allegedly misused P625 million confidential funds of the OVP as well as the Department of Education when she was still the DepEd secretary. It was last June 19, 2024 when Duterte resigned from being the education secretary.
Since the start of a new year, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has been visiting several places in the Philippines to bring the programs of the OVP and to speak to the people. Recently, she returned to Oriental Mindoro.
