Baby Girl Rescued from Alleged Attempted Sale by Her Own Mother in Pasig City

Authorities Rescue Baby Girl from Alleged Attempted Sale by Her Own Mother

Authorities rescued a one-year-old baby girl in Pasig City after her own mother was allegedly caught trying to sell her for P8,000.

The operation was carried out after police received information about the disturbing act, which immediately raised concern for the safety and welfare of the child.

According to police, the rescued toddler was not the only one at risk. Investigators revealed that the suspect had also allegedly attempted to sell her six other children. It alarmed authorities, as it showed a pattern that placed multiple minors in serious danger.

Without proper safeguards, children can easily end up in unsafe environments where their well-being is not guaranteed.

Ang danger nito, dahil hindi ito dumaan sa proseso, ‘yung interest ng bata ay mag-jeopardize. We cannot assure na ito ay mapapunta sa ikagaganda ng bata,”

PNP-ACG acting director PBGen. Wilson Asueta said.

Authorities are now preparing charges against the mother as they continue to gather evidence. Social welfare agencies are working closely with law enforcement to secure the future of the children and prevent further harm.

Officials reminded the public to report any suspected cases of child abuse or illegal selling of children.
