Malacañang reacted to the alleged insinuation of Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte that the Marcos Jr. impeachment complaint is allegedly staged. The Congressman claimed that Andrei de Jesus, the lawyer who prepare the impeachment complaint, is supposedly the same person who allegedly represented First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos in a disbarment case against ex-Biliran Cong. Glenn Chong.
“Ang First Lady ay hindi nagsasampa ng disbarment case… kung nagsampa siya ng disbarment case, ito ay of his own volition. Hindi niya nirerepresent ang Unang Ginang,”

Atty. Claire Castro further claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos and the administration are not experts in fabricating evidence and making intrigues. According to the Malacañang official, there is allegedly no truth to Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte’s insinuation that the impeachment complaint against Marcos Jr. is supposedly staged.

Castro added.
The Malacañang further stressed that an impeachment complaint being filed against the President is not good for his image. She stressed that it is also not good in the view of the economists.
