Student Lost His Life After Being Stabbed by Fellow Student
On Tuesday afternoon (January 20, 2026), the victim and the suspect were seen having a heated argument that quickly escalated. Based on initial police findings, the incident happened around 3:00 in the afternoon in front of a school building.
The verbal exchange turned into a physical fight, drawing the attention of people nearby. In the middle of the confrontation, the suspect reportedly pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the victim several times.
The injured student was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in Lemery for emergency treatment. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he was later declared dead due to multiple stab wounds in the abdomen.
The victim was identified as an 18-year-old resident of Barangay Poblacion Zone 6.
Police officers responded swiftly and were able to arrest the suspect, also 18 years old, at his barangay in Luntal. He is now under police custody while authorities prepare the appropriate charges against him.
