Duterte’s Former Spox Harry Roque Speaks on Impeachment Case Filed against PBBM
Harry Roque expressed his belief that the impeachment complaint was filed against President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to allegedly keep him “impeachment-free” until January 2027.
Marcos Jr. is accused of allegedly committing betrayal of public trust over the alleged “surrender” of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte to the ICC
(International Criminal Court), his supposed illegal drug use, and his alleged involvement in the flood control corruption. The said complaint was reportedly transmitted to the Office of the House Speaker already.

Ahead of the filing of an impeachment complaint against Marcos Jr., Malacañang previously claimed that the President is ready to face any impeachment case that will be filed against him. Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro stressed that the President allegedly did not steal the people’s money.
The filing of an impeachment complaint against Marcos Jr. gathered different reactions from the people. Recently, the former spokesman of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Harry Roque, spoke his side over the matter.
Through a post on social media, Harry Roque expressed his belief that the impeachment complaint against Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was allegedly filed to keep him “impeachment-free” for a year. The Constitution states a ban on the filing of impeachment raps that is why the previously complaint against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte was declared ‘unconstitutional’.

Furthermore, Harry Roque also expressed that the recent filing of an impeachment complaint against Pres. Bongbong Marcos will allegedly make him “impeachment-free” until January 2027. According to him, by the time that the ban expires, it is almost election.
