. A Regional Trial Court (RTC) in Santa Cruz, Laguna, ordered the
arrest of Ang and 17 others
for kidnapping with homicide and kidnapping cases.
Shortly after,
Ang received a second arrest warrant
“According to Patidongan, our star witness, he has access to Cambodia. He has ways to get there, and we are investigating whether he passed through a backdoor,”
DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla said.
“Kasi tandaan mo lahat nung mga POGO (Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators) lumipat sa Manila to Cambodia-Thailand border. So baka nag-exodus na papunta doon, nag-settle ng sariling operations doon,”
he added, but the authorities are still verifying this information.
If it is confirmed that Ang is in Cambodia or Thailand, Remulla said the issue would be brought to the attention of
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr
Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) believed that Ang was aware and prepared that a warrant of arrest would be issued against him. It has been difficult locating him, considering his resources and connections around the country.
