DPWH Secretary Promises Transparency and Reforms Amid Project Anomalies

DPWH – Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon is hitting the ground to personally inspect infrastructure projects in Visayas and Mindanao as the department investigates reported anomalies.

Vince Dizon announced on Saturday that he plans to personally visit and inspect infrastructure projects in the Visayas and Mindanao in the coming week.

“And kawawa ‘yung mga kababayan natin and so kailangan we have to really look at every area of the country para maitulak natin and once and for all matapos na ‘tong mga ‘to,”

Dizon said, highlighting the urgency of addressing delays and deficiencies in government projects.

he added, pointing out the critical need for road and bridge rehabilitation in Mindanao.

The Secretary also addressed ongoing concerns over irregularities in flood control projects, particularly issues involving incorrect grid coordinates. He clarified that the investigation covers a broader range of infrastructure anomalies beyond flood control initiatives.

Dizon said, affirming the department’s commitment to accountability.

He further emphasized the importance of insulating departmental systems from human manipulation.

he stated.

With these inspections and reforms, Dizon aims to accelerate project completion while ensuring transparency and efficiency across the department.
