Oil Price Hike to Take Effect as January Comes to Close
FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Various gasoline stations are set to implement an oil price hike starting January 27, 2026 (Tuesday).
Motorists across the country will need to prepare for higher fuel expenses as oil companies roll out another round of pump price increases in the final week of January. The latest adjustment continues with the upward trend in fuel prices that many drivers have been feeling since the start of the year.
Starting Tuesday, major fuel retailers will raise prices for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene. Gasoline will increase by P0.40 per liter, while diesel will go up by P1.40 per liter. Kerosene will also see an increase of P0.80 per liter.
Most oil companies will impose the new prices at 6:00 in the morning, while Cleanfuel will implement the changes later in the afternoon.
Several global factors are driving the
latest increase
. Stronger fuel demand in major economies such as China, the United States, and parts of Europe has pushed prices higher, especially with colder weather boosting fuel use.
