– Former President Rodrigo Duterte’s former Spokesman reacted to the calls to drive away Chinese from the Philippines amid the territorial dispute.

For several years, the territorial dispute between the Philippines and China over the West Philippine Sea continues. There were even several instances wherein a heightened tension between the vessels of the two (2) countries sparked.

. Amid the territorial dispute between China and the Philippines, the Filipino people including the government officials have different take on the situation. The issue has recently earned different reactions from senators.

Recently, amid the ongoing territorial dispute between China and the Philippines, Harry Roque spoke on the supposed calls to drive away Chinese people from the country. Roque is a former spokesman of ex-Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and he’s currently in The Hague, Netherlands.

Through a post on social media, Harry Roque slammed the call to drive away Chinese people from the Philippines. He raised a question asking if the Filipinos can stand to lose all the things made in China that we use in our everyday lives.

“Palayasin daw ang mga Tsino? Kaya ba natin mawala ang halos lahat na made in China na ginagamit natin araw-araw?

” Roque stated.

The former presidential spokesman only appeared in public again during the height of the transfer of the custody of his former boss, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, to the International Criminal Court (ICC). He applied for asylum in The Netherlands and stressed that he allegedly cannot be deported while the application process is ongoing.

A local court issued an arrest warrant against Duterte’s former Spokesman. However,

Harry Roque claimed that he cannot forgive the Marcos Jr. administration

for the distance between him and his family and he will only return to the country after the term of Marcos Jr. ends.
