Former Pres. Duterte is detained under the custody of the ICC in The Hague, Netherlands since March 2025. He just arrived from Hong Kong when the Philippine authorities arrested him at the
Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
On the same day of his arrest which was March 11, 2025, Duterte was flown out of the country for the transfer of his custody to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands. Recently, the
ICC ruled that former Pres. Duterte is fit to stand the pre-trial proceedings
based on the assessment of the medical experts who checked on the former President. The foreign court immediately scheduled the confirmation of charges hearing of the former President.
Based on the
report
, the hearing on the review of the detention of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte is set on February 27. According to the foreign court, there might be changes in the schedule depending on the developments of the case.
