Lady Passenger Slams Conductor Due to Overcrowded Passengers Inside Modernized Jeep
A passenger raised a complaint due to the overcrowded passengers on a modernized jeep traveling along the Alijis route in Bacolod City.
According to her, the vehicle was so full that passengers were tightly squeezed together, making the ride uncomfortable and risky. Despite this, the conductor reportedly kept letting more riders in.
The incident happened around 7:00 in the evening on Tuesday, January 27, outside Panaad Park and Stadium.
During the trip, she estimated that around 50 passengers were inside the vehicle. This raised serious concerns for her, especially since many of the passengers were students and senior citizens. She worried that if an accident happened, many people could get hurt due to the overcrowded condition.
When she tried to speak up and question the conductor, she claimed that she was instead told to get off the vehicle.
Aside from the overcrowding, she also pointed out that no fare discounts were given to senior citizens or students. Everyone was reportedly charged for P20, even for short distances.
