Sen. Robin Padilla Speaks Anew on China-Philippines Issue
ROBIN PADILLA
– The Senator issued a warning to those who allegedly try to pick a fight with China calling them the “real pro-China”.
The Chine and Philippines’ territorial dispute over the West Philippine Sea unfortunately continues for several years now. There were even reports showing a seemingly escalated tension between the two (2) countries at the disputed island.

Previously, it was reported that
China allegedly fired at the Philippine vessels using their water cannon
. There were also instances when the Philippine authorities reported that Chinese vessels supposedly block their way as they navigate the dispute island for important purposes.

The said Senate resolution condemns the Chinese Embassy’s insulting statements against the officials of the Philippine government who defend the country’s position in the territorial dispute over the WPS.

Amid the issue, Sen.
Robin Padilla previously earned criticisms for asking why the Philippine Coast Guard did not buy stronger water cannons and hit back at China
as well as expressing understanding on the side of China over their leader’s caricature. According to him, even if he is an opposition, he will also get mad if President Bongbong Marcos’ image will be used as a cartoon.
