Previously, even prior to the filing of an impeachment complaint against the President, Malacañang claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos is ready to face any impeachment rap that may be filed against him. The President is also confident that he did not do anything wrong as per Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro.

Malacañang, not only Marcos Jr. may be affected by the impeachment complaint but as well as the economy

of the country. The Palace previously stressed that an impeachment rap is not good for the image of the President and the economy of the nation.

Amid the impeachment moves against his father, House Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte Congressman Sandro Marcos stepped back from participating in the House process on the impeachment complaint against Marcos Jr. According to the young Congressman, he wants to preserve the integrity of the chamber and avoid doubts on its ruling.

The younger Marcos previously stressed that the House of Representatives will not block any impeachment complaint even if it is against the President. Malacañang and the President welcomed the decision of the presidential Son to recuse from participating in the process.
