OCTA Releases Results on Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s Trust Rating amid Issues, Accusations
SARA DUTERTE’S TRUST RATING
– The results of the latest survey conducted by OCTA Research showed an increase in the Vice President’s scores.
Vice Pres. Duterte is surrounded by several issues for a few years now. She is accused of alleged misuse of confidential funds of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and the Department of Education (DepEd) amounting to P625 million.
In 2025, several impeachment complaints were filed against Duterte amid the allegations of corruption. An impeachment rap even reached the Senate and triggered call for the chamber to start the impeachment trial right away.
Amid the public call to start the trial, the
Senate archived the impeachment complaint against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte after 19 senators voted
in favor of the motion. The decision of the chamber came after the Supreme Court ruled that the impeachment rap against the Vice President is unconstitutional.
According to the Supreme Court, the impeachment complaint allegedly violates the one-year ban rule and a fresh impeachment rap may only be filed against the Vice President starting February 6. Recently, the OCTA Research released the results of its 4th Quarter
Tugon ng Masa
survey. Based on a report on PhilStar, the results showed an increase in Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s trust rating.
“Over the same period, the Vice President recorded increases in trust and performance ratings, along with lower levels of ambivalence,”
OCTA stated.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s trust rating increased from 51% to 53%. The highest trust rating of the Vice President was recorded in her bailiwick Mindanao at 89%. Her lowest trust score was recorded in Balance Luzon at 36%.

, on the other side of the increase of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s trust rating, 26% of adult Filipinos said they distrust the Vice President. The highest distrust score was recorded in the National Capital Region (NCR) at 37% and in Balance Luzon at 34%.
Aside from the rise of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s trust rating, the results of the OCTA Research survey conducted from December 16 to 20, 2025 also showed an increase in the performance scores of the Vice President. From 49%, the performance rating of the Vice President rose to 54%.
